As we broke a 110-year old record for cold weather in Calgary, Alberta, this week, I was reminded of walking into this Raleigh, North Carolina, lake at about 83 degrees F. Yes, the water always looked this dirty, but who cared.I thought this little African American girl was adorable, don't you?
